I'm fundraising for CALM in memory of Jess Leanne Norris

I’m walking against suicide.

This October I'm taking on the Lost Hours Walk to deal with grief differently and defiantly, and to remember our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, partners and friends lost to suicide.

Here’s why:

On average, 125 people take their own lives every week in the UK.

75% of people who take their own lives are not known to mental health services or have not been in touch with mental health services within the last year.

135 people are directly affected by every suicide.

We’re coming together across the country to send a message that that’s not ok. We’re taking to the streets, parks, pavements, public footpaths and promenades to walk against struggling in silence, against being alone, against living miserably.

Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM’s free, anonymous and confidential helpline and webchat are there for anyone who needs support. They’re open from 5pm-midnight every day. Just £8 is enough to fund a professionally-trained helpline worker to answer a call that could save a life. Your support will help fund CALM’s life-saving services when they’re needed most.

Please donate to my walk below.

Walk Completed!!!

Thursday 15th Oct
On 3rd October, we braved the rain and walked from our home town to Jess's home town to celebrate her life and say our goodbyes in our own way.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to our sponsors, we never expected to meet our target, never mind smash it!! We hope that Calm Zone will continue their life saving work and continue to prevent suicides.
